RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management, technical guidance, and mentoring of the Quality Engineering staff.
  • Receive departmental objectives, establish detailed goals and provide guidance to the staff on how to meet the objectives.
  • Trend analysis of data and development of measuring reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to accurately depict product quality levels in manufacturing. Report the KPI regularly and develop recommendations and action plans for improvement.
  • Manage the Handling of Non-Conformance (NCR), Material Review Board (MRB), and Corrective Action (CAR) processes.
  • Support the New Product Development (NPD) process and contribute to the cross functional teams from a Quality Engineering perspective, using quality planning tools and techniques.
  • Manage the overall function, including planning and reporting of the Product Audit process.
  • Work with the Quality Control function to develop and execute manufacturing Process Audits.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Process FMEA and associated Control Plans.
  • Work with Manufacturing to ensure that an adequate system for identification and traceability of parts and materials used in deliverable items is implemented.
  • Work with Product Support department to review and analyze field product performance data, identify trends/issues and develop improvement initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • B.Sc. in Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of applied Quality Engineering experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing industry.
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training (Green-Belt certification).

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Applied experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Applied experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (PFMEA, Control Plans, Cpk Process Capability, MSA, PPAP, etc).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Makes general repairs and adjustments to a variety of building and mechanical equipment,

   plumbing, mobile equipment, buildings, grounds, and carpentry work

  • Receive work instructions from foreman/supervisor/charge hand/lead hand
  • Use computerized software, instructions sheets, and sketches to assist in repair  work
  • Help clean and lubricate factory and building equipment and report non-functioning equipment

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

The Health and Safety Coordinator organizes and directs the MacDon safety management system and ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, industry standards and best practices. The safety and health coordinator will be required to promote safe behaviours, safe work practices and environments, as well as maintain and administer the safety management system with the objective of minimizing incidents and injuries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct support for the Joint Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JOSCH) members regular safety management system and safety training audits
  • Supports regular industrial steel storage racking audits and inspections, and other internal audits as required
  • Assists in the identification, development and communication of safety and health related information, via safety talks, safety fact sheets, the MacDon SharePoint Safety & Health Web Page and MacDon Employee Connect
  • Conducts safety and risk assessments using company risk assessment process
  • Administers and maintains area inspection process

PURPOSE and SCOPE

Manage skilled trades contractors in maintaining and improving equipment and facilities at MacDon. Develop and grow a culture of Customer Service to internal customers through strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building.  Lead the Tool Crib to provide timely support of hand and specialty tools to Manufacturing.  Ensure the department’s processes are followed and adherence to the collective agreement.   • Plan and execute facilities and maintenance work required for the Preventative Maintenance of buildings and equipment.

PURPOSE and SCOPE

The Test Engineer/Technologist is responsible for verifying and validating our emerging technologies and current production features. The work of this function focuses on the execution of test plans, reporting of test outcomes, support of Test Technicians and follow up on issues related to verification and validation of prototypes.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the development and review of test plans to ensure plans are complete, timelines are clear and ownership and responsibilities are understood.
  • Design test jigs and fixtures and execute test plans.
  • Develop test vectors, setup, and scripts for automated testing.
  • Maintain clear objectives of live test plans.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to the Test Technicians assigned to the prototypes.
  • Instrument prototype machines as per test plans.
  • Participates in and/or owns the analysis of data, and presentation of results and recommendations.
  • Correlate lab testing, field data and theoretical results as needed.

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Overall management of the Quality Lab including supervision and technical guidance of staff, development and execution of inspection operations and metallurgical testing, calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment, as well as support of R&D initiatives/projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision and technical guidance of Quality Lab Technicians.
  • Ensure that the lab work environment is safe and maintain compliance to all health and safety regulations.  Work with the safety department to ensure that the staff are trained as necessary to perform their required tasks safely.
  • Estimate and provide workload for the current year and following year, ensuring that the workload and staffing balance is adequate.
  • Estimate and provide capacity studies of the lab equipment according to workload forecast.
  • Estimate the cost of yearly calibration of equipment and timely submit purchase requisitions for calibration services to ensure high equipment availability to perform requested services.
  • Organize and supervise calibration tasks, 5S and safety review of the lab.
  • Monitor, improve, and ensure the effectiveness of lab performance through relevant KPI.
  • Development, maintenance and enhancement of lab work instructions and best practices.
  • Operate and program lab equipment for conformance verification of components and materials.
  • Timely execute and report results for all submitted inspection request forms (IRF).

  • Applied experience in the operation and maintenance of lab equipment including: CMM programming and operation, Laser Tracker, Faro-Arm, Hardness testers, Metallurgical Microscope and Micro-sectioning equipment

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Repairs factory production and building equipment by diagnosing failed mechanical components by observation or dismantling and then overhauling the components. Performs construction, fabrication and installation of various equipment and projects as assigned to do.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a certified Journeyman Industrial Mechanics License issued by the Province of Manitoba or bear the Red Seal Certificate from another Jurisdiction.
  • 3 – 4 years’ experience as a Journeyperson – Industrial Mechanic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives work instructions from Foreman / Supervisor / Chargehand / Leadhand.
  • Must be able to plan work and perform jobs with a minimum of supervision.

The Test Monitor is responsible for ensuring that lab tests are running correctly and are adjusted according to procedure and that data is collected according to the test plan. This person will also be required to perform basic maintenance and assembly tasks, restock supplies and assist with general housekeeping duties. Shift work will be a requirement.

  • Monitor product testing for performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development, execution and maintenance of the supplier quality management systems including:
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of MacDon Supplier Quality Requirements.
    • Support the Supplier evaluation, qualification and approval Process.

  • Support the Product Realization Process and represents the Supplier Quality function in the New Product Development cross functional teams.
  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from a supplier quality perspective.

The Production Scheduler assigns work to each station in the production shops according to the production schedule and formal work station capacity limits. The Scheduler addresses unplanned requests from downstream customers by adjusting the sequence or selection of work throughout the day.

In a professional environment, alongside experienced MacDon support representatives, you will help dealers and customers get the most from their equipment. This is a highly varied role in a dynamic environment, where no two days will be the same!

This position is an 8-month term starting May 8th 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Product Support department and MacDon dealers to address and mitigate technical issues occurring in the field.

A Spray Painter at MacDon Industries performs tasks as related to the powder application and liquid painting of parts ensuring that a quality product is being produced.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE and SCOPE

Reporting directly to the Quality Engineering Manager, Quality Engineer performs execution of Quality Engineering systems including; handling of nonconforming materials, Corrective/Preventive Actions, failure reporting, analysis and corrective action (FRACAS), field data collection and analysis and supplier quality assurance. PURPOSE and SCOPE

The Test Engineer is responsible for verifying and validating our emerging technologies and current production features. The work of this function focuses on the execution of test plans (Field & Lab), reporting of test outcomes and support experimental prototype builds. This position will be based in Sun Prairie, WI.
