The MacDon Custom Harvest Supervisor will plan, execute, and continuously improve the MacDon Custom Harvest Program.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate all Custom Harvest support activities:

  • Work with dealers to develop a parts stocking strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purpose and Scope

Participate as part of a team in the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in machine, fabrication, weld, assembly, paint, material handling, and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing process in machine/fabrication, weld, assembly, or automation.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement events and utilize lean methodologies to identify and reduce waste.
  • Conduct statistical Process Control and other statistical methods applicable to manufacturing.

As a central Production Engineering resource, the specialist will work to maintain electrical system designs across product families. His/her activities will range, depending on the concern, from consulting on the components, subsystem, or system, to reviewing the entire system. Close communication and coordination will be required between the specialist and the Design Engineering Electrical Group and Product Engineering Managers (PEMs).

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participation as a team member in all team project activities as identified, including but not limited to:

  • Perform control system audits, troubleshooting and performance/maintenance updates on product designs.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

A MacDon Industries Journeyperson Industrial Electrician diagnoses and repairs failed electrical components on factory equipment, including sophisticated production machines, mechanical or electrical equipment, and hydraulic or pneumatic equipment. They also construct, fabricate, and install electrical equipment and wiring for assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build electrical/network power circuits and PLC Programming Ladder Logic.
  • Repairs factory production and building equipment by diagnosing failed electrical components by observation or dismantling and then repairing or replacing the components
  • Plan work and perform jobs with minimum supervision.
  • Review written documents such as work orders and equipment-specific manufacturer’s publications to perform repairs.

The Test Technician role is a vital part of an international team of innovators that collaborate to solve critical problems related to the agricultural industry through the development of machinery. These individuals are provided a unique experience in which their problem-solving abilities are tested while they develop their hands-on experience working with prototype machinery. The Test Technician will use their unique perspectives to be an integral part of the research and development of agricultural prototypes through field and lab tests over an 8 - month term.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a variety levels of leadership in the Test Department to manage the day to day for field testing activities of prototype machines.

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Participate as part of a team in the development and continuous improvement of innovative, class leading agricultural product designs for the Ag/Heavy Duty Off-Road machinery market. Team compositions vary and change from time to time, but will involve multiple engineers and technologists, team leaders, prototype shop and test personnel, supply/marketing/product support/publications/manufacturing and other specialists. Position will be based in Sun Prairie, USA

As a central Production Engineering resource, the specialist will work to maintain electrical system designs across product families. His/her activities will range, depending on the concern, from consulting on the components, subsystem, or system, to reviewing the entire system. Close communication and coordination will be required between the specialist and the Design Engineering Electrical Group and Product Engineering Managers (PEMs).

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participation as a team member in all team project activities as identified, including but not limited to:

  • Perform control system audits, troubleshooting and performance/maintenance updates on product designs.
  • Use CAD systems to create and revise electrical schematics, wire harness drawings, installation assembly drawings.
  • Write requirements, technical documentation, Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (DFMEA) & work with Design Engineering on standards and specification maintenance.
  • Assist in development and implementation of validation plans (unit testing, HIL, SIL, DVT).
  • Liaise with Design Engineering, Supplier Quality and Vendors to ensure parts integrity is in alignment with specifications.
  • Hands on rework and commissioning of electrical harnesses and control system assemblies.

  • Graduate of an accredited Engineering or Technology program.

This is an 8 month term position in the Product Management Support role, will assist with the gathering of product feedback and information. This position works closely with MacDon Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing and Product Support staff. You are responsible to gather and compile information from various test, pilot, and competitive products. This will primarily be in North America.

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Parts and Service, the Director of Global Parts Operations is directly responsible for North American service parts warehouse leadership, teams, systems, facilities, and logistics. As well, this role will provide guidance for worldwide aftermarket product and parts distribution. The Director of Global Parts Operations will collaborate closely with the Director of Global Parts Sales and Support and other senior leaders across our businesses and brands, to evolve current and future service parts warehouses into a cohesive state-of-the-art system of Parts Distribution Centres serving our worldwide network of agricultural and industrial customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the global alignment and operation of all Service Parts warehousing and distribution facilities and strategic 3PL (third party logistics) agreements in support of corporate growth strategies and goals.
  • Provides direct leadership for Service Parts warehouse/PDC management across North America, empowering ownership throughout the skilled team and ensuring a safe work environment and culture.
  • Provides indirect leadership for regional Parts teams and facilities outside of North America, collaborating with regional GMs and Parts Managers on all aspects of warehousing & logistics to ensure consistent practices and customer experience globally.

PURPOSE and SCOPE

The MacDon Custom Harvest Supervisor will plan, execute, and continuously improve the MacDon Custom Harvest Program.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate all Custom Harvest support activities:

  • Create and manage annual sales and expense budget.
  • Develop parts forecast and demand plan.
  • Work with dealers to develop a parts stocking strategy.
  • Act as the primary Customer Service Contact for Custom Harvest Cutters.
  • Collaborate with MacDon and dealer personnel to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve product issues.

Provide Leadership to the Custom Harvest Team

  • Recruit, mentor and support the Harvest Support Reps.
  • Create and implement training program for new and returning team members.

Assist with continuous improvement of the MacDon Support Network

  • Provide feedback to factory and design engineering teams based on program field experience.

PURPOSE &SCOPE

The Test Technician role is a vital part of an international team of innovators that collaborate to solve critical problems related to the agricultural industry through the development of machinery. These individuals are provided a unique experience in which their problem solving abilities are tested while they develop their hands-on experience working with prototype machinery. The Test Technician will use their unique perspectives to be an integral part of the research and development of agricultural prototypes through field and lab tests.

Term start date options: May 2024.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a variety levels of leadership in the Test Department to manage the day to day for field testing activities of prototype machines
  • Liaise with leadership in performing and completing the verification and validation requirements of their prototype machines
  • Use project management software to efficiently compile information and prepare reports which are used in the decisions of the engineering design process
  • Work with the members of the Engineering Shop, Test Engineering and Design Engineering as needed in preparing machines and equipment/tools for testing
  • Coordinate with Design Engineers on the performance of various systems and processes
  • Observe test machines in the field and lab, gather electronic data using data acquisition, make valued judgments and discuss observations with customers and team members
  • Design and fabricate testing jigs and apparatuses to collect and replicate field-testing conditions.
  • Analyze and present data through the completion of detailed engineer test reports in conjunction with the Test Leaders
