PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of marketing support pieces that support that annual sales budget. This position’s primary role is to support the business and all of its market based efforts. The position is also responsible to work with the Sales team on the company’s marketing calendar, dealer and internal communications as well as a variety of supporting functions including trade show, catalog development and training events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

As a Term Product Support Technician for MacDon Industries, you will be provided an opportunity to travel throughout North America, gaining hands-on experience with modern harvesting equipment. You will gain exposure to the global development, manufacturing, and support of farm equipment, while growing customer service and communication skills. In a professional environment, alongside experienced MacDon support representatives, you will help dealers and customers get the most from their equipment. This is a highly varied role in a dynamic environment, where no two days will be the same!

This position is an 8-month term starting May 8th 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Product Support department and MacDon dealers to address and mitigate technical issues occurring in the field.
  • Investigate customer concerns and use diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair abilities to help resolve issues.
  • Assist with demonstration, customer days, and new product field starts.
  • Compile information and prepare reports of daily field activity to help the Product Support and Engineering departments with the quality of machine performance.

As a Harvest Support Representative for MacDon Industries, you will be provided an opportunity where you can travel the United States while expanding on your hands-on experience, during the custom wheat harvest to provide technical support to Custom Harvesters. This role will develop your customer service and communication skills as you work in a professional environment alongside others within the company to working with dealers or representatives externally.

This position is a 4 month term starting May 8 2023

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Student Engineer will need to collaborate with fellow engineers in the office to work on projects as they are needed in the areas of design, documentation, and prototyping. This individual will gain experience working in the Design Office, Testing and in the Prototype Shop. This is a 8-12 month term position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation as a team member in all team project activities as identified, including but not limited to:
    • Develop detailed prototype designs to meet objectives of performance, cost, durability, etc.
    • Prototype build planning and support
    • Supporting cross-functional activities (purchasing, manufacturing, quality, publications, etc)
    • Support testing activities and data collection
    • Support analysis of test data
  • Development of CAD models, drawings, and supporting information that meet MacDon requirements
  • Engineering analysis of designs using hand calculations and electronic FEA (and other) tools to confirm design capabilities

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, the Manager of MacDon Enterprises, Inc. provides leadership and management to their engineering teams in the design of MD product. The Manager of MacDon Enterprises, Inc. is the owner of all outcomes from his/her team and ensures all team members are collaborating with the appropriate people at MacDon Industries, Ltd.  Additionally, the Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Sun Prairie facility.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee operation of the facility.  This includes all day to day items (maintenance, supplies), and longer term strategic items (staffing plan, testing, shop equipment, city and state interactions).
  • Ensure teams are appropriately staffed with the needed skills and tools (this includes the design function, prototype build shop, testing).
  • Provide the most innovative work environment possible to support leading edge product development.
  • Apply, develop, and implement engineering policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions to ensure robust design/build/test methodologies are followed and designs are fully validated and verified.

PURPOSE and SCOPE

This 8 month term position in the Product Management Support role, will assist with the gathering of product feedback and information. This position works closely with MacDon Engineering, Marketing and Product Support staff. You are responsible to provide feedback from various test and pilot production machines. This will primarily be across the Midwest U.S. 

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support MacDon staff in evaluating new products in several different U.S. territories. This may involve working with dealers and customers.
  • Train dealers and customers on operation and features of new product.
  • Report weekly in a written report on product issues experienced. Assist MacDon Product Support with preliminary diagnostics and minor repairs.
  • Report weekly on customer and dealer product feedback, with a final program summary at end of term to be presented to your Product Manager.
  • Assist with set-up and perform maintenance on demo equipment.

  • An Experimental Mechanic/Welder at MacDon Enterprises lays out components, sets up weld fixtures, and welds components for prototype equipment.
  • Primarily will be performing tasks related to welding from prints and instructions. May also perform Assembly, and Machine/Fabrication Operations as required.
  • Responsible for a high degree of craftsmanship and able to produce parts and/or assemblies from a minimal amount of specifications on information. 
  • Report on implementation of designs and make suggestions for modifications or improvements.
  • Keep work area safe and clean and inform supervisor of any unsafe conditions, and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job or as assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Establish and implement objectives for the sourcing, procurement and pricing of goods for Westward Parts Services Ltd. Meet overall supply chain management objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets and ensuring goals are met, analyzing variances and resolving issues.

The Test Engineer is responsible for verifying and validating our emerging technologies and current production features. The work of this function focuses on the execution of test plans (Field & Lab), reporting of test outcomes and support experimental prototype builds. This position will be based in Sun Prairie, WI.
