Parts Warehouse Person

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Reporting to the Distribution Center Supervisor, this position is responsible for the receiving, put away, picking, packaging and shipping of aftermarket parts orders with the Parts Distribution Center (PDC).  The Parts Warehouse Person will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy of put away and shipments, while following all policies and procedures related to PDC operations as well as other duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Count and verify inbound product, while also ensuring products meet acceptable saleable standards, and then move product to the appropriate receiving locations.
• Document and provide timely communication on receiving discrepancies to suppliers, vendors, and other departments.
• Repackage and palletize bulk products according to set packaging and quality guidelines.
• Correctly pick orders while ensuring part and count accuracy
• Prepare outbound courier and LTL shipments, per the documented customer, quality and packing guidelines, while also completing all required shipping documents.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe manner, indoors and outdoors, using material handling equipment as necessary.
• Accurately count inventory by location as required.
• Follow company policies and procedures including filling out required documentation for tasks.
• Utilize scanning equipment, computers, printers, and other technology to successfully complete tasks.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Perform visual and operational inspections of machinery / equipment and report any unsafe equipment to Supervisor, Parts Distribution Center
• Other responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Forklift experience an asset
• Attention to detail and accurate completion of tasks is essential
• Detail oriented with the ability to work in groups or on own.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
• Experience with scanning equipment, label printers, and computer terminals an asset.
• Physically fit and capable of performing all normal warehouse activities including lifting up to 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Full-time, shift work, 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.
• Warehouse environment.
• Approved footwear, safety glasses and personal protection equipment (PPE) required.
• Varied temperatures (heat and cold).
