Inventory and Order Processing Manager
Purpose and Scope
The Inventory and Order Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control and order processing for MacDon Australia. This role manages internal warehouse operations, coordinates with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and ensures accurate inventory levels and timely order fulfillment for spare parts and wholegoods. Additionally, the position leads the internal sales team responsible for liaising with dealers and coordinating machinery deliveries, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts and wholegoods across internal and 3PL warehouses.
- Develop and implement inventory control processes to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
- Monitor inventory turnover, forecast demand, and manage replenishment strategies.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the internal warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Manage Parts and Wholegoods Team leaders
Order Processing
- Manage wholegood order processing from entry to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to resolve order-related issues.
- Manage and develop internal sales staff who liaise with dealers and coordinate machinery deliveries.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, order processing, or warehouse operations.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience managing sales or customer service teams is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
