Operations Analyst

Job Summary

The Operations Analyst is a key position within the Global Parts Operations team and is directly responsible for collection, management, analysis and reporting of all data within the Global Parts Operations department.  This role supports the ongoing analysis and optimization of Parts Distribution Center (PDC) operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost performance.

 

Responsibility 

  • Create, develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports based on PDC KPI’s and metrics.
  • Analyze PDC operations data (storage capacity, throughput, order accuracy, productivity) to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate warehouse processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping) and provide data driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Mine data to support root cause investigations of operational issues 
  • Provide support to PDC leadership to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of warehouse systems (WMS, automation solutions, reporting tools)
  • Collaborate closely with IT to ensure ongoing reporting and data accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and reporting platforms
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, Global Parts Operations.

 

Academic/Educational Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field required.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is an asset.

 

Required Skills/Experience 

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or logistics analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, macros, data modeling) is required
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is required
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is required
  • Experience in JDE or other large ERP systems is required. 
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies 
  • Experience in high-volume or automated warehouse environments
  • High attention to detail and the ability to make data driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
