Marketing Forecast Analyst
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for planning, developing and maintaining MacDon’s wholegood production forecast using statistical analysis, demand planning tools, team collaboration, and excellent problem solving skills.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities that this position must focus on, must achieve, and must excel at:
- Using feedback from the sales teams along with historical sales data to determine future production volumes.
- Coordinate with the production teams to create a wholegood production plan to meet customer needs and fit operational constraints.
- Effectively communicate production dates and product availability to account managers.
- Advance and manage customer priorities with the production teams.
- Manage wholegoods allocation amongst MacDon’s various accounts.
- Develop strategic inventory plans with the goal of maximizing sales and minimizing inventory.
- Continuously improving demand planning tools, methods and approach.
- Provide shipment and sales projections.
- Development and maintenance of reports to provide management with market intelligence.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products to help plan and control MacDon's global machine inventory.
- Review and manage sales volumes, market share and dealer inventories.
- Analyze order data and trends to influence current and future product design and development.
- Work with marketing department and senior management on any tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- University or college degree with a major in Marketing, Agriculture, or a related program.
- Background in agriculture is an asset
Skills and Knowledge
- Extensive skills with MS Excel.
- Analytical by nature, with strong mathematical and decision making abilities.
- Advanced communication and organizational skills.
- Ag Industry knowledge and experience is an asset.
- Customer service driven with sense or urgency to handle issues in a timely manner.
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license, and Class 3 if applicable.
- A creative self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Some travel may be required.
