Warehouse Person

A Warehouseman at MacDon Industries is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, receiving materials and unloading/loading trucks, moving parts that are in the warehouse to its proper location, picking and counting parts on the DSI guns, and delivering parts to the appropriate areas. 


  • Support kits/gateway and inventory management
  • Working in conjunction with supervision to compile and maintain inventory and status information to expedite the movement of parts, equipment and materials according to priorities and scheduled timelines
  • Place inventory items into designated locations and verify the parts list matches required parts list
  • Review and record information in system accurately to update part routings, keep track of inventory (computer input 50% of position)
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the task done on time and correctly
  • Will be required to drive forklift to accommodate department priorities
  • Drive company vehicle to pick up parts from the Parts Warehouse
  • Ability to read prints and define discrepancies
  • Ability to work safely and inform Supervision of anything unusual or unsafe
  • Minimize debris and ensure garbage and loose materials are not in traffic area
  • Maintain a clean work area using 5S methodology
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ability to comprehend and deliver verbal communication as well as the ability to read and understand written documentation
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to follow instructions and directions effectively
  • Good Aptitude to work from prints, sketches, work orders and verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using computer systems including JDE, Cognos, DSI and Kronos will be an asset
  • Forklift License required
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts
