General Manager (Westward)

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

This successful candidate is responsible for providing leadership for Westward Parts Services Ltd.   This person will have strong strategic planning and execution skills as well excellent operational and organizational development experience to lead our company to achieve its ambitious growth objectives. A well rounded individual with sales and marketing background, and a track record of developing and implementing strategy that results in positive business growth is required.   An excellent leader, this individual should have knowledge and experience in the Agriculture Industry with good understanding of distribution, logistics, accounting, and other business operations functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead in business planning, forecasting, budgeting and human resources decisions that impact the organization. 
  • Development and Execution of Business strategy for Growth
  • Meet or exceed financial objectives of sales and operating income, as well as balance sheet and cash flow targets.
  • Provide leadership to the Management team and Westward Parts organization
  • Identify new opportunities to increase revenues and expand services
  • Establish and manage company wide Key Performance Indicators and Customer Experience Factors,
  • Ensure a positive work environment and a safe and secure workplace for all employees.
  • Ensure corporate and product safety, reliability and environmental standards are met as well as compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for new product development, new customers and opportunities to increase sales
  • Promote, build and maintain positive relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and distributors 
  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote Westward Parts Services Ltd.
  • Benchmark industry competitors in order to develop and implement a strategy to leverage strengths, eliminate weaknesses, and take advantage of opportunities and threats
  • Cultivate strong long term relations, communication and appropriate product offering for customers working with a sales and marketing team in assessing customer needs.
  • Ensure corporate and product safety, reliability and environmental standards are met as well as compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement and review operating measures, targets, KPI and corresponding reports
  • Provide regular financial and operational reports to parent company

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership experience and proven success
  • University Business Degree or related program
  • 5  - 10 years Experience in aftermarket parts distribution business
  • A passion and experience in agriculture
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Strong computer competency
  • Excellent  team leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Results oriented with a commitment to quality, service, safety and teamwork
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
