Producer’s Corner

Comments“When we bought our M150s I didn’t think DualDirection was important, but it has turned into a very, very big feature for us. In the past we would think twice of leaving one field to go to another five or 10 miles down the road if we thought the field wasn’t ready. But with DualDirection it just isn’t an issue because we know that we will be there fast. The technology that they put into these machines is also just incredible. I’ve been most impressed with the ability to adjust everything on the go - knife speed, reel speed, draper speed – and the fact that when you change your speed everything adjusts automatically. That’s really big for us, especially in fields where the crop can be literally lying flat, wet and green on the ground for 200 yards and then standing for the next 300, before another stretch of downed crop. I also like how the computer’s readout lets you know where your knife, canvas and reel speeds are at so that you can push your machine to top performance. The cab quietness and visibility is also phenomenal. You’re not straining all day, there is just no operator fatigue. They are actually fun to drive and I could sit in that son-of-a-gun all day. People fight to get into these swathers.”
