A significant leap forward in draper header technology, MacDon D Series drapers fit most current model combines and offer greater capacity than conventional headers. This increase in productivity maximizes your return on your combine investment and gets the job done much sooner. Better still, D Series drapers let you cut just about any crop without having to swap headers. Not only are they perfect for harvesting cereals and oil seeds, but they also perform exceptionally well in soybeans, edible beans, peas and lentils.
D Series Draper Headers feature MacDon’s new hydraulic knife drive that provides maximum power transfer and increased ground speed in most conditions. They also feature MacDon’s advanced draper system with larger capacity motors, V-guide reversible drapers and sealed roller bearings for increased power, improved durability and reduced maintenance. These knife and draper enhancements work together to deliver exceptional cutting and crop handling performance, which in turn provides for a much less fatiguing harvesting experience overall. Many operators report that they can start much earlier in the morning and finish later in the day, allowing them to cut more and finish the harvest sooner.
D60 Draper Header, the ultimate rigid combining header.
MacDon’s D60 Draper Header is a super-robust full-featured header ideal for high volume commercial operations. It offers more capacity than conventional headers, ensuring a significant performance boost for most operators. With the D60 you receive your choice of either a 5 or 6 bat PR15 pick-up reel (single or split span length reel) which efficiently lifts and sweeps material from the cutterbar for more effective cutting, especially in tough harvesting conditions. You also receive your choice of double or single knife drive so you can match performance to your crop cutting requirements. Performance is bolstered by optional features such as hydraulic header tilt, hydraulic fore-aft reel positioning, adjustable skid shoes and cutterbar poly wear plates. The deluxe self tracking reversible V-guide 24 oz. (680.4 g), polyester treated fabric drapers are a full 41.6 in. (1057 mm) in depth and back sheet is sloped for more crop conveying capacity, allowing for much better feeding of tall, bushy crops like canola, mustard and heavy cereals.

Product Features
CONSISTENTLY CLOSE SHAVE
MacDon draper headers feature MacDon’s unique C-shaped cutterbar, which permits cutting at ground level for the most consistently clean shave of your fields. This close cutting ability combined with the reel’s ability to maintain a consistent relationship with the sickle (allowing it to gently lift the crop like a comb) means improved crop recovery in crop that is downed, lodged or tangled.
EFFICIENT POWER TRANSFER
MacDon draper headers feature a highly efficient mechanical drive system for optimal power transfer to sickle. This sickle drive system features MacDon’s exclusive, enclosed oil bath wobble box which operates at a standard single sickle speed of 1,050 to 1,400 SPM or double sickle speed of 1,200 to 1,700 SPM (varies depending on combine brand and model).
CA20 COMBINE ADAPTER
This specially designed adapter allows you to mount MacDon draper headers on to your combine. Its highly effective float system employs coil springs to provide exceptional lateral and vertical flotation over rolling and uneven terrain. The CA20’s auto-header-height with header angle and ground pressure indicators allows the header to automatically adjust flotation to ground conditions, eliminating the need for the operator to make constant adjustments. The CA20 also features MacDon’s exclusive Feed Auger with retracting fingers which provides more aggressive pulling of the crop and improved heads-first crop flow which substantially reduces the likelihood of bunching. With the push of a button, the Feed Auger with retracting fingers reverses with the feed draper to allow for quick and easy unplugging of the feeder house.
SMOOTHER, GENTLER, MORE EFFICIENT FEEDING WITH NO “DEAD TRIANGLE”
Because they have no auger, MacDon draper headers have no “dead triangle”, like auger headers, where crop can hesitate and cause bunching and plugging, thus ensuring substantially smoother heads-first crop flow into your combine’s feeder house. Heads-first feeding promotes peak combine efficiency, saving fuel, improving threshing action and potentially reducing maintenance costs. Gentler feeding is also beneficial for minimizing seed loss and maximizing crop recovery in delicate crops like grass seeds, edible beans and soybeans, or when crops are dry and fragile.
ADVANCED DRAPER TECHNOLOGY
MacDon’s advanced draper technology delivers positive draper tracking under even the most adverse crop conditions. A full 41.6 in. (1057 mm) in width for improved feeding of tall, heavy crops, the drapers are rubber skim-coated with V-guides on both the edges now making it reversible to provide double the draper life on D60 and FD70 models.
BOOST YOUR PRODUCTIVITY INSTANTLY WITH THE D50 DRAPER HEADER
Designed to be an excellent all-purpose header for most combining situations, MacDon’s D50 Draper Header allows you to cut at much higher speeds and still achieve exceptional cutting under most crop conditions. It also offers much better crop delivery depth from the cutterbar tip to the rear panels. It mounts easily to most current model combines and features a C-shaped cutterbar plus MacDon’s new 5 bat PR15 pick-up reel with flip over finger action and cam leading finger control. This reel more effectively lifts and sweeps material from the cutterbar for better cutting performance, especially in tough harvesting conditions. All D50 model headers feature a single span reel. This reduces unit weight and the need for a third center support cylinder, making it easier to add the optional fore and aft reel positioner. MacDon’s exclusive parabolic reel design helps ensure a consistent close relationship between the cutterbar and the reel over the entire length of the header. This in turn produces more even crop feeding and significantly reduced wear and breakage to the reel’s fingers.
HYDRAULIC FORE-AFT REEL POSITIONER
Adjust the reel position to changing crop and field conditions on-the-go from the cab.
Standard on some D series headers.
POLY SKIDS
For muddy harvesting conditions, or crops like soybeans, rice, lentils and edible beans poly skids permit smoother traveling of the cutterbar over the ground, and reduces the likelihood of mud building up on the cutterbar.
Standard on some D series headers.
SKID SHOES
Improves the placement of the cutterbar in relation to the ground, thereby reducing wear on the cutterbar and enhancing the in field performance of the header.
Standard on some D series headers.

Product Features
Exclusive articulated power turn (APT) hitch
MacDon’s APT hitch allows you to pull the machine on either side of the tractor for back and forth harvesting.
The vertical pivot has been moved back from the tractor to significantly reduce turning radius and make it easier to open fields.
Exclusive to MacDon, the APT hitch found on the R85 Rotary Disc and A30-D pull types represents a complete rethinking of hitch design by MacDon engineers. First, they insisted that the hitch have a high capacity all hydraulic drive system to provide overload protection for all components and reduce maintenance requirements when compared to mechanical hitch designs. Next, they repositioned the drive shaft so that a straight line is maintained between the tractor’s PTO and header pump. This further reduced vibration and wear on the unit. They also rethought the hitch assembly and moved the vertical pivot back from the tractor, and allowed the front end of the tongue to extend over it. This resulted in a much tighter turning radius compared to conventional designs and the ability to pull the machine on either side of the tractor. Finally, our engineers added a horizontal pivot to fully accommodate the rolling movement of the mower during normal operation and minimize side loads on the rear of the tractor. The end of their efforts was a completely new hitch, one that improved maneuverability, reduced maintenance and made opening a field easier than ever.
Widest conditioning rolls on the market
To improve conditioning performance, the R85 Rotary Disc and A30-D pull-types have been equipped with the widest steel on steel rolls on the market (102"/2591 mm on the A30-D; 118"/3000 mm on the R85). Wider rolls result in a thinner mat of material passing through, which increases the amount of crop in contact with the rolls, improving crimping performance and ensuring thorough conditioning of the plant stem. These conditioning rolls also feature a design which more aggressively pulls crop away from the cutting discs and feeds it into the forming shield, for reduced power requirements and improved performance in both light crop conditions such as grass and heavier alfalfa type crops.
Z-shaped cutterbar
We’ve made the cutterbar super strong by giving it a Z-shaped profile and incorporating a rectangular reinforcement. As a result the cutterbar is much stronger along both the horizontal and vertical planes, allowing it to better withstand impact from field obstacles.
Power-through unplugging
The A30-D’s conditioner rolls can be easily unplugged from the comfort of the tractor seat. By simply raising the header, the conditioner rolls will separate, providing power through unplugging of crop build up.
Improved crop flow and handling
Crop feeding is enhanced by MacDon’s poly feed pan design (shown), progressive feed paddles and unique stripper bars which combine to allow for smooth feeding, even under adverse conditions.
Built for the tough going
Like all MacDon harvesting machines, the A30-D is designed for the toughest conditions. Exceptional durability of the unit is assured by the heavy-duty cast housing of the dual wobble boxes and rugged internal components of the knife drive system. The A30-D’s independent suspension system features heavy duty flotation springs (shown) which allow the header to react quickly and smoothly to ground obstructions, reducing the likelihood of damage to the cutterbar and knife components.
Wide flotation tires
The A30-D’s wide 31 x 13.5 - 15 tires provide smooth flotation over uneven ground and a light footprint – an important advantage in soft soil conditions.
Transport locks
Easy and quick to engage, the A30-D and R85 transport lock valves are activated by levers located on the hitch and on the header lift cylinders.
Full width forming shield
This easy to adjust side forming shield makes it simple to set the width of the windrow. A rear fluffer shield is also standard and is used to adjust height and density of windrow for optimum dry down.

A giant step forward in speed, reliability and crop handling.
The machine that’s redefined auger windrowing capacity, reliability, conditioning and windrow formation: these are the hallmarks of a great auger windrow. They are also exactly what you get with MacDon’s A Series Augers thanks to the single-minded efforts of MacDon’s engineers to produce the best auger windrower possible. They started their design journey by examining every contact point with the crop and enhancing each one so that crop flow and handling remain optimized under a wide range of conditions. The result is significantly increasedcapacity in just about all hay and forage crops.
But they didn’t stop with just increasing capacity. They’ve also added a number of other features to make your harvesting experience better than ever. Top among these is their up-powered all-hydraulic design with on-the-go hydraulic reversing capability of reel, sickle, auger and conditioner on the A40-D models. This allows the operator to be in full control of all harvesting adjustments from the comfort of the operator’s seat – a real time saver when adjusting to challenging crop conditions.

STRONGER, LESS MAINTENANCE
The replaceable inner skin on cutterbar access hoods helps to reduce possible damage to outer cover for improved resale value.
MacDon’s engineers have substantially strengthened the R85’s header frame by making sure that the top link, lower lift arms and all header parts are anchored or bolted into sturdy frame members. Operators will also appreciate the R85’s lower maintenance requirements thanks to its fewer moving parts than mechanical drive designs, and greasing intervals of 25 and 50 hours.
CUT LOWER, CUT CLEANER, CUT FASTER
To help you cut lower and at a flatter angle we’ve both lowered the profile of the cutterbar and strengthened the design of the cutterbar cradle. These improvements combined with the R85’s sturdy frame design and excellent spring flotation system allows you to run the machine faster over rough terrain and still maintain a consistently clean cut.
IMPROVED CAPACITY AND CROP HANDLING
We’ve given the 16' (4.9 m) R85 an overshot auger to more efficiently transfer crop from the discs to the wide conditioner rolls and improve cutting performance in tougher conditions.
The R85 boasts a number of new features that improve capacity and crop handling. These include an optimized disc rotation pattern to reduce the amount of debris thrown across the cutterbar, and newly added accelerators on each disc to promote better crop flow in thick and tangled crop. Together, these improvements add up to significantly increased cutting capacity, reduced crop stripping and improved windrow formation.
NEW OVERLOAD PROTECTION
R85 cutterbars feature a single removable key on the outside hubs that will shear if the disc comes in contact with an object that stops its movement. The hub can then be removed and the key replaced, allowing the operator to quickly get back to cutting.
DOUBLE WINDROW ATTACHMENT
MacDon’s optional Double Windrow Attachment allows you to place up to 48' (14.6 m) of conditioned crop with the R85 into a single windrow.
WIDEST CONDITIONING ROLLS ON THE MARKET
To improve conditioning performance, the R85 Rotary Disc has been equipped with the widest steel on steel rolls on the market (118"/3000 mm). Wider rolls increase the amount of crop contact, improving crimping performance and ensuring thorough conditioning of the plant stem. These conditioning rolls also feature a design which more aggressively pulls crop away from the cutting discs, for reduced power requirements and improved performance.

FD Series FlexDraper® Headers for Combines | Products | MacDon
The latest evolution of MacDon’s ground breaking FlexDraper® technology, MacDon’s FD70 will significantly boost your combine’s productivity in high volume, high bushel crops as well as low-podding crops such as soybeans, beans, lentils and peas. Its unique three-section flex frame offers greater flex range than a comparably sized flex auger header. Compared to their traditional flex headers, most producers experience an immediate increase in capacity.
Shawn Johnson says that his FD70s give him an advantage over others.

SWITCH FROM FLEX TO RIGID IN SECONDS
One of the great advantages of the FD70 FlexDraper® is its ability to switch from flex to rigid with a simple and quick flip of a lever. Producers can switch from cutting wheat and rice to cutting specialty crops and soybeans in seconds giving you expanded productivity. Many producers can now do all of their harvesting with just one header.
UNIQUE FLEXING ACTION
The FD70 also features MacDon’s exclusive parabolic reel design, which helps ensure a consistent close relationship between the cutterbar and the reel over the entire length of the header. This in turn produces more even crop feeding and significantly reduced wear and breakage to the reel’s fingers.
MacDon’s three-section concept is as simple in design as it is effective in execution. It is based on the principle that flex headers only became necessary when they got wider than 17.5 feet (5.3 m), because anything less can handle most ground contours. As such, MacDon FlexDrapers are similar to running three smaller headers together, all 17.5 feet (5.3 m) or under. This unique flexing action allows the header to maintain a consistently close relationship between the knife and the reel, even in maximum flex. The result is the most flexible header yet, with wing float and flex capabilities that greatly exceed the range of float on flexible cutterbars found on conventional flex headers. You have to see it to believe it.
POLY SKIDS
For muddy harvesting conditions, or crops like soybeans, rice, lentils and edible beans poly skids permit smoother traveling of the cutterbar over the ground, and reduces the likelihood of mud building up on the cutterbar.
HYDRAULIC FORE-AFT REEL POSITIONER
Adjust the reel position to changing crop and field conditions on-the-go from the cab.

Cut lower, cut cleaner, cut faster
To help you cut lower and at a flatter angle we’ve both lowered the profile of the cutterbar and strengthened the design of the cutterbar cradle. These improvements combined with the R85’s sturdy frame design and excellent spring flotation system allows the operator to run the machine faster over rough terrain and still maintain a consistently clean cut.
First, we’ve added an overshot auger (16'/4.9 m model) for more positive feeding and less back feeding of crop at the ends of the header when cutting heavier material. We’ve also reconfigured the disc rotation pattern to reduce the amount of debris thrown across the cutterbar into diverging paths. Finally, we’ve added accelerators on each disc to promote better crop flow rearwards and help power through thick and tangled crop. Together, these improvements add up to significantly increased cutting capacity, smoother – more positive – crop flow and reduced crop stripping, especially under wet and heavy crop conditions.
New overload protection
R85 cutterbars feature replaceable key shear protection in each hub assembly. The shafts are designed to break and seal off from the cutterbar if the disc comes into contact with a solid object. It also features a single replaceable key on the outside hubs that will shear if the disc comes in contact with an object that stops its movement. The hub can then be removed and the key replaced, allowing the operator to quickly get back to cutting.
Sculptured rock guards
The R85 guards are designed to completely cover the underside of the cutterbar and cradle, these guards improve self-cleaning in sticky soil conditions.

All M Series Windrowers have received a significant horsepower boost thanks to the addition of Cummins engines across the board. At the top of the scale is the M205, which takes on all challenges thanks to its high powered Cummins turbo diesel engine (220 HP/164 kW at a rated 2,200 RPMs) that can automatically power boost to 230 HP (170 kW) when in extreme conditions. Powerful enough to run draper headers up to 40' (12.2 m), this tier 3 engine is fuel efficient and environment friendly. Equipped with Intermediate Speed Control (ISC) all header functions operate at full power with reduced engine RPM for increased fuel savings. Both the M155 and M105 also enjoy upgraded power with new tier 3 Cummins engines of their own.

EXCEPTIONAL CROP CLEARANCE
The M Series frame features a wide wheel stance and an unobstructed, unmatched 45.7" (1160 mm) below frame clearance when cutting bushy crops.
NEW MORE EFFICIENT HEADER DRIVE
To ensure that every ounce of power being generated is effectively delivered to the header drive motor, the M205 Windrowers feature a completely new header drive with a load-sensing circuit. The result is a simpler – more efficient – design with fewer working components that promises to be more constant, more dependable in tough cutting conditions. The header lift speed has even been increased thanks to a larger hydraulic pump. Add draper or auger headers with ease with a simple valve block.
MAKING YOU FASTER IN THE FIELD, FASTER BETWEEN FIELDS AND FASTER HOME
Switching from field to highway mode takes only three seconds with MacDon’s Dual Direction® technology. (Available on M205 and M155).
MacDon’s patented Dual Direction® technology (models M205 and M155) allows you to switch to highway travel mode in seconds and travel at highway speeds of up to 23 MPH (37 km/h). Better still, there is no need to detach the header and transport it via flatbed, saving you even more time and labor when moving from field to field. (Limitations may occur due to road width restrictions with larger headers.)
ERGONOMIC CAB
MacDon’s ergonomic cab, designed specifically for windrowing, ensures operator control and comfort during long harvest days. Its cab forward design and curved glass provide unparalleled visibility of the cutterbar, the stubble and full field conditions.
NEW ULTRA GLIDE™ SUSPENSION SYSTEM
M Series Windrowers are not just all about muscle and power; they also have a softer side, thanks to MacDon’s new Ultra Glide™ Cab suspension system. This four-corner “custom tuned” independent suspension system features suspension stabilization to prevent cab roll and “chop” for what is likely to be the smoothest ride you’ve ever experienced in a windrower.
COMPUTERIZED CUTTING CONTROL WITH HARVEST MANAGER PRO
M Series Windrowers come with a fully computerized monitoring and header control system that provide the operator with real time readout of the header’s cutting performance and critical information. Operators will also enjoy easy, intuitive fingertip control of all header functions including MacDon’s highly popular “return-to-cut” feature that allows the operator to precisely return the header to the same setting after lifting it. The M105 features the Harvest Manager which includes some of the same monitor read-out display functions.
EASY UNPLUGGING FROM THE CAB
MacDon’s Hydraulic Header Reverser (optional for M205 and M155 windrowers) allows the operator to quickly unplug the conditioner and other major header components on augers and drapers without leaving the operator’s station.
NEW ENHANCED AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM
All regular engine and hydraulic maintenance points are within easy reach thanks to MacDon’s patented movable rail platform. The cooling system’s cores are easily slid or swung out for fast cleaning.
To accommodate the larger engine, the M205 and M155 feature a completely redesigned air intake and exhaust system which has resulted in a reworking of the windrower’s body and hood to allow for greater airflow into the engine. To keep up, the air filter has also been enlarged which has provided the added bonus of longer periods between service intervals.
Sliding platforms.
The sliding platform can be moved back to front to allow access to a number of service points including fuel fill, engine air filter, engine service points and access to cab doors. Additionally, the platform can be moved rearward to allow service of electrical and hydraulic components on the windrower.
Large and easy access toolbox.
The new larger toolbox is attached to the sliding platform to ensure that tools and replacement components are available when required.
