Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Engineering.
  • Green or Black Belt an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Applied experience in statistics and statistical process control.
  • Applied experience of advanced product quality planning (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc).
  • Knowledge of DFSS techniques such as IDDVO, DMAIC, DMADC, QFD, PUGH, TRIZ, etc. is a definite asset.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and statistical software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development, drive, execution and maintenance of the Quality Engineering programs and processes.
  • Execution of Quality Engineering systems including corrective/preventative actions, failure reporting, analysis and corrective action and field data collection.
  • Chairs the Material Review Board and ensures timely status updates and reporting.
  • Work with Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing Engineering to ensure process control and quality, determine and implement Mandatory Inspection Points Plans, and to ensure that an adequate system for identification and traceability of parts and materials used in deliverable products.
  • Create, implement and control appropriate Quality Assurance data collection procedures to ensure that product, procedures and processes are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, analyze and monitor key performance indicators and conduct process and product audits.
